The sandbowl snail, Catinella arenaria, also known as Quickella arenaria, is a small species of small air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Succineidae, the amber snails.
This snail lives in wet hollows among sand dunes. In the British Isles these areas are known as "dune slacks", and when in pristine condition, these hollows provide a specialized habitat for an unusual group of fauna and flora, which includes this species.
